Each charity organisation has a wish list of everyday items, goods and services/activities which will make their day a little easier and brighter. Help us fulfil their wish list.

Giving Tree, helmed by The Finger Players, is a crowdfunding web portal which helps the needy. All donations are entitled to a 250% tax deduction. Read on to find out more about these profiled charities and their wish lists.

AMKFSC – COMNET

COMNET Senior Services (COMNET) under AMKFSC Community Services (AMKFSC) has its humble beginnings from the Befriending Service, initiated in 2007. COMNET's mission is to support vulnerable and low-income seniors to live independently and actively in the community. It aims to empower seniors to seek life satisfaction with the support of community resources.

Founded in 1978, AMKFSC is a community-based social service agency, which provides a holistic range of services to support children, youths, families and seniors at multiple touchpoints across Singapore.

Over the years, AMKFSC has produced a total of eight Outstanding and Promising Social Worker award recipients, giving testament to the quality of AMKFSC social workers and our focus on staff development.

Bishan Home for the Intellectually Disabled

Bishan Home for the Intellectually Disabled (BHID) is a residential home specially built to create a conducive environment for people with intellectual disabilities and aged between 16 and 55.

With rooms beautifully decorated with colourful murals, the Home provides a community setting which encourages social interaction and training of pre-vocational skills.

Through continual improvement, Bishan Home strives to provide holistic care to develop life skills of our residents and Day Activity Centre (DAC) clients in order for them to live meaningful lives.

As part of our community integration programme, we also actively reach out to and engage volunteers in meaningful and purposeful projects aimed at encouraging, enabling and empowering our clients to the maximum of their potential and live quality lives.

Christian Outreach to the Handicapped

Christian Outreach to the Handicapped (COH) is a not-for-profit organisation founded in 1979. It provides day activity services for adult with intellectual disability and accompanying conditions such as Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Autism Spectrum Disorders, hearing and visual impairment.

1. Basic necessities like cooking oil, salt, sugar, packets of 3-in-1 Milo sachets and canned sardines/tuna and luncheon meat for COH's kitchens in Tampines and Toa Payoh.

Geylang East Home for the Aged

Geylang East Home For The Aged (GEHA) was incorporated in December 1978 as a charitable welfare organization with an IPC status to provide quality care to elderly from various backgrounds in the community through different programmes and services. We provide services for elderly who need residential care, rehabilitation, day care services, including persons with dementia and activity drop-in centre with the mission of ageing in place. We aim to integrate elderly with lower income into mainstream society through active participation of ground-up initiatives in the community.

Our neighbourhood link centre was established to cultivate a local network of support and active volunteerism at the neighbourhood level, to promote self-worth and a sense of community amongst residents. It also serves as an information hub and a place where intergenerational activities bond the community together.

2. Workshops on grief, loss and the healing process for GEHA's elderly clients.

Singapore Association for Mental Health

The Singapore Association for Mental Health (SAMH) was established in 1968 as the first community mental health agency in Singapore with the aim of promoting mental wellness and resilience in the community as well as facilitating the rehabilitation and reintegration of persons with mental health conditions. 

We provide a broad range of services across 9 locations in Singapore through our Creative Services, Outreach and Rehabilitation Programmes. These also include our Youth based centres such as SAMH YouthReach and SAMH Creative SAY!.
